Almost everyone wants to get 760 in their GMAT and to achieve this target 3-month preparation plan will be sufficient for you if you prepare to get the target score. Below are the tips that you must follow to successfully achieve your target score with a 3-months study plan.
-
Decide your target scores
The GMAT study plan includes a very important thing, deciding your target scores. It is obvious as this will help you to score minimum marks. The section in which you score high, and you feel more confident while doing it is your relative strength. After knowing your relative strength, you must decide on a target score. It means, if you are strong in Verbal then you must plan to score high in Verbal and score the minimum in Quant to go through the exam.
-
Estimate the amount of time you need
The amount of time required in 3-months would remain the same for 500 scorers and 600+ scorer but, the daily commitment will change. Once you have the estimated the amount of time needed, plan that many hours for the first 2 months of your preparation and at the last month you should be doing Mock Tests and refining.
-
Create a Study Plan
Once you have scheduled your study hours, get stick to it. For GMAT, you have scheduled the required amount of time set aside, so it is very important for you to use it wisely. Always start studying with the section which is your relative strength as it will be more easier for you to improve and excel.
For the Verbal section, you should start with SC and after reaching your target score in SC, you must switch to CR and then RC. The reason for this sequence is that RC requires some skills that get developed in SC and CR. Preparing for these sections would automatically improve your skills in RC to a certain level. For the Quant section, start with Number Problems, Word Problems, Algebra, Geometry, and then Advanced Topics.

Plan to get 760
GMAT analyses your higher-order reasoning skills and not language or math skills. It is essential that you must learn the core skills that take your reasoning process to ace GMAT. You must pick up one section and start with it and do not move on to the next section until you have reached your target score of that a particular section. While studying a particular section, you must ensure that you learn the application process along with the concept as only knowing concepts is not enough on the GMAT.
-
Take Mock Tests to Review your Preparation
After you are complete with studying, you must go for mock tests in the last month of preparation. Taking mock tests would be beneficial and remember to schedule the test in the morning when you are in a fresh state of mind
Mock test will improve your weakness by revising the concept and solving questions of a certain topic. It will also give you the view on how effectively you have followed a GMAT study plan.
